American Asian Culture Association (AACA)
Carol Wei is a Chinese American community leader, nonprofit executive, and cultural advocate dedicated to building bridges between Asian communities and the broader American society.
In 2013, she founded the Mid-America Asian Culture Association (MAACA), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to promoting cultural understanding, community engagement, education, and international collaboration. Under her leadership, MAACA grew from a local initiative in Kansas and Missouri into a multicultural platform representing more than 25 Asian communities and serving over 110,000 community members through cultural festivals, educational programs, business forums, youth leadership initiatives, and community outreach programs. (MAACA)
Throughout her nonprofit career, Carol has worked closely with community organizations, business leaders, government agencies, diplomats, and international partners to strengthen cultural exchange and economic cooperation between Asia and the United States. She led the development of major community events, including the Asian Cultural Festival and the Asia Business Summit, creating opportunities for cross-cultural dialogue, business development, and international engagement. Her leadership and service have earned numerous honors and recognitions, including the Kansas Minority Business Advocate of the Year Award, national leadership recognitions, and multiple community service and innovation awards. In 2026, MAACA expanded its vision and officially evolved into the American Asian Culture Association (AACA), reflecting a broader national mission to serve Asian American communities across the United States. As Founder and President, Carol continues to lead initiatives that promote cultural heritage, civic engagement, youth development, international friendship, and sustainable community growth.
